Hi I'm Jackie

I'm a Chinese-American. I'm on a mission to spread a message of hope and love. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently on a mission. I have been assigned to the Taiwan Taichung Mission. My life has changed quite drastically since coming on my mission. I feel as though key aspects of who I am are constantly being refined or tossed out of my life and being replace with something better. I think I'll still love the things that I did before the mission after I get back, but, I know that the importance I place on my past times will surely shift. I hope to be able to hone the skills I already have and to be able and willing to learn new things that will improve my life here on Earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. In all honesty I didn't really know why I continued to follow the churches teachings until high school. That was when I really decided to find out for myself if this church was true, instead of just following the routine provided by my friends and family. High school was a rough time for me because we had just moved to Arizona and so my social life and family life were both not going too well. I felt I was all alone and was angry. In the end I was able to find the comfort of the Spirit and it provided me with a path to follow. I believe this church is true and in the power of the priesthood and the gospel. I believe that anyone who opens their hearts will be able to feel the Saviors love and be blessed.

How I live my faith

I'm currently on a mission, so the way I live my faith is by relying on the Lord everyday, in everything I do. I never thought about it before, but I hope to be able to rely on Him in all my decisions and in my daily life even after the mission. Being able to share our burdens with Him is not just something the Lord hopes we do, it's something he wants us to do.
