Hi I'm Kayla Marcia Adams

I joined the church at 13 years old and moved here to Utah. I am now serving in the Missouri Independence mission!!! :)

About Me

I am a convert to the church, I joined at the age of 13. I enjoy watching MOVIES :) and being with friends and family. I have one sister and 4 brothers. My parents are divorced and I have lived in Utah with my dad since I was 13 years old. I am currently serving in the Missouri Independence mission until April 2015. I LOVE to laugh and have fun! I am terrified of haunted houses/scary movies, so you won't catch me at those events ;) I also love to write... I have written a few poems and plan to write a book after my mission that will hopefully inspire others to live the Gospel and trust Heavenly Father. Two of my best friends are also serving missions and I'm so proud of them! My biggest goal in my life at this time is to (after my mission) find my eternal companion and start a family. I love this Gospel, and the teachings of my Savior, Jesus Christ. He has truly saved me, and I wouldn't want to go through this life without Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have felt the Lord's hand in my life too many times to deny it. I have felt the Savior's love and am coming to know Him more and more. I know and can bare testimony that missionary work is the Savior's work through faithful people willing to serve Him, and stand in his place while we share His message with everybody. I have a testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon; this is because I've prayed and asked God, and I have felt the Spirit while reading that sacred, special book. The Gospel is very simple, and it helps me in every single area of my life. I am a member of Christ's true and living Church on the earth, and I know this because I never feel so near to Him, than when I am living what is taught here. I feel His love, and the love of my Heavenly Father every day... I know I'm not alone, and that knowledge alone is worth being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith by serving a full time 18 month mission, and making the "sacrifices" that go hand in hand with that. It turns out that it's really not a sacrifice at all... it's actually an incredible blessing. I strive to show love to everyone around me so that they can hopefully see how good Heavenly Father is, and how much He loves each of us. I pray all of the time to seek guidance from Him so that I can make the decisions that will make mine and my family's life happy. Searching the scriptures and words of the prophets today has also been a strength for me that I cannot describe... I truly know that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet leading and guiding Christ's church today. I feel it with all of my soul, and can never deny the joy that I experience by following his council.
