Hi I'm Quinn Nelson

I'm a well-known tech YouTuber. I love golf, wakeboarding, skiing, and my family. I speak English and Spanish. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just your regular, every-day normal guy. I'm currently studying business at the University of Utah. I am most well-known for my popular YouTube channel, Snazzy Labs. My passion for technology has always pushed me to excel towards the unifying of modern and classic media. Ever since my first Bondi Blue iMac G3 at age 5, I have had a strong passion for the technological world. For six years I have made videos as a hobby and to help people learn more about the advantages to using technology wisely in their lives. My videos have been viewed over 30 million times in more than 148 countries. I am a firm believer in organization and time-management to help us focus more on the things that truly matter such as my family and my Heavenly Father. I like to wakeboard, wake-surf, ski, golf, play drums, listen to music on my vinyl turntable, work for companies as a voice-talent professional, and spend time with my family and dearest friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I cannot even begin to express what being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints means to me. If you're a fan or viewer and you're ever around the Salt Lake City area, send me an email so we can go into more detail over a lunch or ice cream. Treat's on me. I feel that the best way to express how I feel would be through my testimony: I testify that Jesus Christ, is the Savior of the world. He took upon Himself your sins and mine, so that we, as the sinners we are, can return to live with Him and with the Father. I testify that more than 2,000 years ago, when Jesus walked upon the Earth, He formed His Church. Having been previously chosen, He and His apostles possessed a special authority called the Priesthood which was used to heal the sick, raise the dead, and to perform ordinances (which are pacts that are made between man and God - baptism is an example of an ordinance as we promise to keep God's commandments). I testify that after the martyrdom of Christ and His apostles, this Priesthood authority was lost. For nearly 1,800 years, man had been teaching the word of God without divine direction nor the Priesthood. Performing ordinances without permission wasn’t pleasing to God. I testify that in 1820, God and Jesus Christ appeared in the flesh to a boy named Joseph Smith. Joseph was a 14-year-old boy with an honest question: “What church should I join and follow?” The Lord in a vision indicated to Joseph that none of the churches were true and that the Priesthood authority needed to be restored once again. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was restored. The Book of Mormon was left as evidence that these events actually took place. I exhort you to acquire this book (you can get it from this site for free). Read it, analyze it, and pray to God, the Eternal Father if these things aren't true. I promise that you will receive an answer of its truth from God himself. I promise it, because the Lord did the exact same thing for me.

How I live my faith

I wake up every day by kneeling down to my Creator in prayer to ask Him that He might prepare my heart to recognize the daily opportunities that He presents me to serve others. After serving the Lord for two years in Santa Cruz, Bolivia as a full-time missionary, my love for all of God's children grew exponentially. I know that He loves me. I know that He provides for me. I know that He cannot ever forget me; even though at times I feel so insignificant. And most importantly, I know that He loves me no more nor less than anyone else. Knowing this, I am able to realize that which He has commanded me to do: to live the commandments, to study the scriptures daily, to participate actively in my faith, to take advantage of every opportunity to serve that He gives me, etc. I am able to keep sacrificing and serving because I know that the blessings God and Jesus Christ have provided me are hugely immeasurable. For every tiny thing that I do, He blesses me beyond belief. He provides me with health, safety, love, security, confidence - every spiritual or temporal blessing I receive comes from Him as a result of my obedience to His commandments. I wake up every day by setting goals to be better today than I was yesterday. I try to be more like my Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. Even though I fall short each-and-every day, I am able to kneel to Him in prayer each night to ask forgiveness for my shortcomings and that I might have His power and guidance to improve.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Quinn Nelson
We believe that the Book of Mormon is a testament that Jesus lives. The Book of Mormon is not a bible, as we too believe that the Holy Bible is the word of God. The Book of Mormon is “Another Testament of Jesus Christ.” The Lord forewarned about the false prophets that would rise after His death and crucifixion in the New Testament of the Bible. He stated: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” (Matthew 7:15) Later in that same chapter he states, “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” (v. 20). The Lord knew that many would be quick to reject the vision of Joseph Smith if it weren’t for “fruit” that he really was called of God. Joseph’s fruit is the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon, like the Bible, is an ancient book, written around the same era as the Bible. The difference? The Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets that lived here in the Americas. The Bible was written in the middle-east. A heavenly messenger sent my Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and later helped him find the original plates on which the Book of Mormon was written almost 1,400 years earlier. With the help of the Lord, Joseph was able to translate the Book of Mormon from ancient reformed Egyptian to English. That means, that the Lord has prepared another testament of Jesus Christ for us in these our days. Show more Show less
