Hi I'm Toni

I am a wife and a mother of 4. I make some of the best homemade bread you'll ever taste! :) I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born & raised in UT, the oldest of 8 children. I have great memories growing up. We loved to travel & have been to all 50 states (by way of car), at least once. I had a crush on my husband in high school, but didn't ask him out (to a dance) until after he was graduated & I was still a senior. We hit it off & dated for 6 weeks until he left on a 2 year mission for our church. We wrote every week. I finished school & began working for an airline. He got home in December, proposed in January, & we were married in March! We have now been married for almost 12 years & have been blessed with 4 wonderful children so far. I love being a wife & stay at home mom. I love spending time with family & friends. I also enjoy cooking, online scrapbooking, relaxing, taking walks in the summer watching the sunset with my husband and kids, watching uplifting movies, & socializing. I love to make people happy, especially with food! Life is not perfect but I am a happy person, & love life. Sometimes I struggle getting down on myself or worrying what the world will be like for my kids. But the gospel brings so much hope & peace into my life. I'm grateful for the encouragement of modern prophets helping me to see the good all around. I love the gospel & try to live it the best that I can. Not because I am told to, but because of the feeling & happiness it brings into my life when I am living it. I know that I am a daughter of God, & that makes me want to be the very best I can be!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. It has always been part of my life. As I have grown, it has become an even bigger part & I don't know how I would get through life without it. It has been my rock & has brought me so much peace, especially in times of trial. I know that I lived with God & Jesus Christ before I came to earth; that I am here to prove myself & gain experience; & that through Christ's Atonement I can repent & return to live with them again. God knew that we would make mistakes, so he sent his Son to Atone for our sins & conquer death. I know the Atonement is real, & as we repent, we can be forgiven of our sins, & healed of our heartache. What an amazing gift that is! I am so grateful to know that families can be together forever. We have Temples on earth that bind us together through Priesthood power. I know there is power in the scriptures, that by daily study and prayer, I receive spiritual protection & strength to get through each day. I have seen hard things in life; pornography addiction, alcoholism, depression, & death, to name a few. I don't know how I would get through these, & other hard times without the knowledge of the gospel. I know I have a Heavenly Father. He loves us & is aware of all the details of our lives. He has given us prophets. Just as Joseph Smith was a prophet & restored the gospel to the earth, Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today, the spirit has born witness to me of that. I LOVE the gospel and I know with all my heart that it's true.

How I live my faith

I try to be the best I can be. Which often means starting over each day... or more ;) I go to church every Sunday. I love getting to know my neighbors & planning events to get to know them better. I have served in varied positions in my church; with women of all ages, with youth, with children, & people with special needs. I find the most strength in the small & simple things of the gospel; prayer & scripture study - personal & with my family, & going to church. I go visiting teaching every month to strong members of the church and also to those that haven't come for decades. I attend the temple, & love to serve others...especially when I am having a rough time. Serving others always brightens my day, & shows me that I can make a difference, even if it's just with a loaf of fresh bread. I would love to participate in a humanitarian project to help other countries, and hope I will get the opportunity to do that with my family someday. I do my best to teach my children to be brave & to stand up for what's right. I try to find opportunities to help them remember they are children of God & he loves them.
