Hi I'm Alexis

I love being outdoors. I'm a servant of the Lord in the California Ventura Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I worked at the local grocery store for about five years. I graduated from a small high school and went to college for a year at BYU-Idaho. My major was just general studies because I wanted to wait until after my mission to decide what I wanted to do for certain. I have been blessed to find out what the Lord would like me to become since I've been serving my mission. I will be studying Physical Therapy when I get home! I am blessed to have been born and raised in a Mormon family. I have only one sister and my parents. I like being outdoors doing things like fishing, floating the river, hiking, and camping. I love country music, movies, and cleaning (odd I know but hey I like a clean place). I am a picky eater and love weight lifting and working out.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but that doesn't mean I don't have a conversion story. Everybody makes mistakes and does things they regret. One of the reasons I choose to be Mormon is because I don't want to live with those regrets forever. Through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have been taught how to repent for all of my mistakes so that I can be truly happy. I know I could never feel truly happy unless I was living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Another reason is because of the Book of Mormon. I have read and prayed about this inspired book and know it to be true because God told me so. This wonderful testament of Jesus Christ gives me peace of mind that couldn't come from reading anything else.

How I live my faith

In my student ward I had a calling of teaching the Gospel Principles class. It was hard to do but I feel that it helped me a lot with teaching and speaking in public. I strive to be a good representation of the LDS church by helping others and being a positive person. I am currently serving a mission in California and am loving it! I get to share my testimony with people all day and help them see how the gospel can change their lives. It's hard to be away from home for eighteen months but it is well worth the sacrifice if I can help others find true happiness in this live and hope for the life to come.
