Hi I'm Jeff

I'm from Los Angeles. I was the Vice President of the National Student Clearinghouse until my retirement

About Me

My wife and I are the parents of 6 children and currently have 21 grandchildren. I am retired and spend my time. I love to read, explore new places, travel, and, of course, play golf. I graduated with my Doctorate of Education while working at a university. We get great pleasure out of the garden that we grow each year and have had the opportunity to share much of our produce with our neighbors. I served as chair of the Planning Commission of our town for some years, which added to our sense of community involvement

Why I am a Mormon

I am a "Mormon" because my study of the Bible (Old and New Testament) and the Book of Mormon have convinced me that these volumes contain the word of God designed to help us know how to live so we will be worthy to return to His presence. The Spirit has confirmed this knowledge to me in answer to my simple prayers. I have come to know through that same process of prayer that Joseph Smith Jr. was called of God in these latter days to restore Christ's church on the earth. Today there are living prophets and apostles on the earth providing, guidance and counsel in aiding my desire to live so that I too can return and live with God.

How I live my faith

I have been actively involved in local administrative responsibilities with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having held may positions of leadership including leader of my local congregation and as a member of the presidency of the organization that deals with regional congregations. I believe in God and know that His Son, Jesus Christ, is the Savior and Redeemer of my soul through His great atoning sacrifice. I try to treat everyone I meet with the dignity and respect as should be given to everyone since we are all brother and sisters under the parentage of God the Father
