Hi I'm Charlotte

I live in Burton-Upon-Trent, England. I am off to the England London Mission on November 6th 2014. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Burton-Upon-Trent, England. I was raised in a town called Ringwood in Bournemouth. I am one of 8 children, I am the second youngest. I was Born is Salisbury Hospital. I was raised in the gospel. My parents were converted in their early 20's. I am 19 years old, and I have received my mission call to London Mission, and I leave on November 6th 2014.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents got converted in their 20's. I was brought up in the gospel, I love the gospel. I know that Jesus Christ lives, and that President Thomas S. Monson is our true and living prophet on this earth. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one and only true church of this earth. I know and can testify that Joseph Smith was a true prophet on this earth, and I know that the Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ. I have been blessed with so many things in my life, and I know that the Lord is always with me, and that I have the companionship of the Holy Ghost in my life. Through having 3 siblings going on a mission and have it change their lives, and through my older brother leaving the church when i was about 4 has made me realise of how much the gospel of Jesus Christ means to me.

How I live my faith

I try and read my scriptures and say my prayer's everyday. I have a calling in my ward as a Faith in God Assistant, which i love, and a calling as a YSA Representative in my ward. Now-a-day's i do my mission prep, as often as possible, to help my faith grow and to help me become a better prepared missionary, before I go out to serve the lord for 18 months. I keep the commandments, and I try my very best to follow the council of the prophet and apostles. I and trying to get closer to my saviour, and become more like him. I try and be an example to all those around me. I wouldn't be anywhere without the gospel in my life, it has blessed me and my family in so many ways. I try and act, watch, listen to things that will keep me in tune with the spirit.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Charlotte
We as LDS members know and believe we receive a physical body when we came on the earth, and while on the earth we have agency, which is where we have a choice to choose between good and evil. We learn and gain experiences to help us become more like our Heavenly Father, we go through good and bad times, but knowing the god lives and loves us and know Jesus Christ lives and loves us, help us realise there is more to this life. We gain a family that may become eternal to us, which means after this life we will see them again. Which to me is the greatest blessings and gift i have ever received, and even after this life, i will be able to keep. Show more Show less
