Hi I'm Seth

I'm from California. My home life is hectic and random at times but I wouldn't have it any other way. Oh ya, and i'm a Mormon :)

About Me

I grew up in an LDS household with an amazing family and I'm currently serving a mission in the Idaho Pocatello Mission. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in a town called "Dublin" and enjoy football. Needless to say I'm a 49er fan. One of my favorite hobbies includes bowling, rock climbing, and I love to sing (whether i'm good at it or not). About once a month I gather some friends together and we go midnight bowling and just have a blast and mess around. My high score is 267 and one day I hope to break 300, a perfect game. I recently graduated high school in June of 2013 and I went to early morning seminary everyday to give me a boost of the spirit to start off my day and let me tell you, it was 100% worth it. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do right after school like if/where I wanted to go to college or even what I wanted to major in, but what I did know is that I wanted to go on a mission. Once the age changed from 19 to 18 for Elders I knew that that was the path I wanted to take. I'm the first missionary in my family to go on a mission. I am trying to learn how to play the piano but unfortunately I have no musical background and can't read the notes but I am really trying and hopefully sometime i'll get there. Oh and i also love to play card games, board games, party games, pretty much just games in general, and just have a great time with people. Disney Everything is the best!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a part of this church all my life. My parents are both members and raised me in the teachings His gospel. When I was eight years old I decided that I wanted to be an official memeber so I made the decision of becoming baptized and recieving the holy ghost as a comforter and as a still small voice to help guid me through my life. From then on I've tried to be the best christian, mormon, person I can be. Through my worthiness, I have been able to gain both priesthoods of our heavenly father. Whenever I pray to our father in heaven there is an amazing and undeniable feeling that comes into the room and when that happens you know that the spirit is there and that he is listening to what we want to say. I believe in His teachings with all my heart and I know that one day I will be able to return to heaven and walk beside him in his heavenly home. I say these things in the name of our lord and savior Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

Every year my stake contributes to a city wide service project to help better our town. We call it Mormon Helping Hands. It's a great way to serve our community. Every month me and one other member visits three families in my ward at their home to see how they are doing, give them a messege, and ask if they need/want help with anything. We tend to start and end with a prayer to help invite the spirit in. I was recently called and released as a teacher in our sunday school program where I would put together lessons to teach 12 to 13 year olds more about the gospel and about Jesus Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Seth
There is a promise given to anyone near the end of the Book of Mormon in Moroni 10:4-5 at says if you pray with a sincere heart with real intent having faith in Christ asking him if this book is not true that he will manifest the truth of it unto you through the power of the Holy Ghost, and if the book is true then everything in the Mormon religion is true. Prophets have said that you will come closer to Christ by abiding by it's precepts than by any other book. Show more Show less
