Hi I'm Taylor

I recently returned from an LDS mission in almost heaven West Virginia! I am a young adult figuring out life as I move forward.

About Me

I enjoy playing music specifically trombone, piano, guitar, and singing. I am the middle child of 9 children which is just a blast and I love them all!!! the 4 younger than me are all adopted through the foster care program and are just the best little kids. I enjoy being here on this earth and out in nature doing activities such as hiking, swimming and camping as I come to a more full knowledge of God's creations. I worked at Camp Loll for 3 summers which is a BSA camp which was what instilled in me a love of nature and of God's creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I have truly found for myself that through the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have found the best way to live and that through the principles and doctrines taught in the church I can utilize the Atonement of Jesus Christ more fully in my life and reach a better way of life through righteous living and the Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in the Book of Mormon and in the Bible. Throughout my mission I have learned if anything else that there is a lot of confusion within religion, confusion that surely God is not the author of. The Book of Mormon is what anchors me into the church in bringing me the knowledge that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who restored the true church of Jesus Christ to the earth. There is no more searching for me because I know of a surety that the Book of Mormon is true and all that it entails.

How I live my faith

By using the Atonement of Jesus Christ in my life and by changing each and every day for the better through Faith in Christ and repentance. I am currently helping others do the same while serving as a missionary in the West Virginia Charleston Mission. Above all else I love reading the scriptures and the words of the living prophets. I love the stories and doctrines in the Bible and the Book of Mormon and trying to apply them in my life to help me be a better person every day.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

There are many things that testify to me that that God is there and cares about each of us. the feelings that I get when reading the Book of Mormon and Bible are big ones but what got me started was living in nature and seeing all the beauties and intricacies of his creations and how they all work together. What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe the Bible to be the word of God and to be true as far as it is translated correctly. However, because it has been translated so many times and has lost some plain and precious truths. These truths have been restored through the same methods God used throughout all time and eternity, the prophets. Show more Show less
