Hi I'm Nicole.

I was born hard of hearing and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother, step-mother, wife, grandmother, and work full time. I love my life in Utah living close to my family and extended family. They make me laugh and give me happiness. They are my life. I am seriously committed to exercise and eat healthy foods. I juice fruits and vegetables often and compete at sprint triathlons. I love to travel and take in the beauty of this earth that God created and learn about other cultures. If life starts to feel monotonous, I like to try new things and challenge myself. I love to read as many books as I can. I was born deaf in the left ear and 40% hearing in the right ear. I can hear about 80% with the help of a hearing aid and lip reading. The hearing aid has blessed my life.

Why I am a Mormon

We attend church, read scriptures and pray. We donate tithing (ten percent) of our income to the church to help with the building of temples and chapels. Donations are also to help families that are struggling with enough finances to buy food due to the recent loss of employment. I love how the church has a calling for everyone to serve others and then it changes to a different assignment. I enjoy meeting at least monthly with other women from church for uplifting church activities. Currently, I serve on the relief society activities committee. It is wonderful to meet many women who are strong in their testimony and their kindness is attractive to me. My husband and I go to the temple every month. It is the Lord’s house and we learn so much and gain peace and happiness serving there. We try to live our faith to be the best person we can be by learning to grow and follow Jesus Christ’s example. We are not perfect and being a Mormon is a lifetime of growing and learning, but I am happiest when I practice all of the above mentioned. I promise you it brings true happiness and peace. It is priceless. I encourage you and invite you to investigate about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints for yourself.

How I live my faith

I am a convert to the church and it was the best decision I have ever made. I am a Mormon because I love the Lord Jesus Christ and his teachings. To follow Jesus Christ is the blue print for life. I cannot imagine my life without the gospel and I would not be where I am without it. It has uplifted me in many ways. It has improved the quality of my life. It motivates me to do better and become the person I am supposed to be. The gospel inspires me to be kinder, more patient, more generous and fair. When I try to follow His teachings, I feel centered, peaceful, positive and happy. I love how the gospel also teaches you to become self-reliant. There is so much I love about this church. The Word of Wisdom gives you a life free of addiction if you live it. Practicing Date Night and Family Prayers provide stronger relationships.
