Hi I'm Aaron

I love to play sports, listen to music, and be with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. The top three things that make me happiest in life are my dogs, my music, and my family. Oh, and winning. I consider myself as very athletic and competitive. I love to play any sport with a ball involved. Seeing the joys of playing sports and the unity brought to my friends and family is what i love to do. As I mentioned before, my dogs - I have a black lab and a white lab. I run with them, play fetch with them, lay on the grass and itch with them, and swim with them. They bring me the best feelings whenever I am down. Its the same way how I connect with music. Whenever I am having a good time or a bad time, there is always a song to make my life better. Most importantly is family. Without my immediate, or distant, family, I would not be the person I am today. I'm thankful for my mother and father for their sacrifices for me. My brothers, because they have made me stronger and given me examples on how to live a great life. And my sister because shes a great friend and fun person. I know I can lean on my family as needed, and that they will be there for me forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am and always will be a Mormon because Mormonism is true. I have prayed and felt an answer of the Book of Mormon, of our living prophet, and of the Gospel of the LDS church. I am also a Mormon because it is easy to live a better life and still do everything that makes me happiest in life. Whats even better is that I have so many friends that are also Mormon and they are the best. I am a Mormon because I want to be.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my church. There isn't an hour that goes by that I haven't thought of my religion in one way or another. My religion helps teach me values and standards that I can be able to commit to myself. When I do abide by these standards, my life has been so much more blessed than those times that I haven't. It isn't hard to live my faith because it is actually full of things that I want to live. These principles that I live make my life so much happier than I could ever imagine.

What is faith?

Aaron
Faith is a "hope for things which are not seen, which are true"(Alma 32:21). But how do we know they are true? We act. We are also taught that we don't receive a witness, or knowledge, until after the trial of our faith(Ether 12:27). So with these two scriptures we see that we cannot know unless we first test our faith. There are many different ways we can test our faith such as prayer. Saying a prayer out loud for the first time is one of the ultimate tests of faith because you aren't quite sure if he is there. And if he isn't then you are just talking to yourself. I encourage you to find out for yourself. Show God your faith and he will answer. I know that to be true. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

Aaron
We need to have faith in Jesus Christ. If we have faith in him, then we obtain a hope for our salvation. We hope that through the atonement of Jesus Christ we may become saved from our fallen state. That all will live again in heaven, and that all may be received in God's kingdom so long as we act on our faith. If we pray, read the scriptures, have faith, repent, be baptized and are given the gift of the Holy Ghost, and continue on the path of righteousness, then may we live eternally and joyfully in the presence of God and our families.
