Hi I'm Tanner

I grew up in American Fork, Utah, I have a sweet rubber duck collection, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Really, I love to do everything! I have a lot of really fun things that I enjoy doing. First off, I love sports especially football and basketball. I played football in high school and in junior high and it really shaped me to be the person I am now. I know that hard work is the remedy for everything! I love to play the guitar and write music. That is something that I started picking up about 4 years ago. I have played in several groups and it has always been a great experience. Music has such an impact on our attitude and how we look at life. I love to create music that uplifts and just keeps me positive. I also love to draw a lot! I love to see something in my mind and put it on paper. Something that is kind of a "family hobby" is traveling. My family and I have traveled to a lot of really cool places around the world like Italy, France, Mexico, and many times around the country. I love to learn about the different cultures and history of places that I visit to broaden my perspective on how we are all sons and daughters of God. Most of all, the thing I love doing the most is serving a mission in the Great California Ventura Mission! It is something that I have looked forward to my whole entire life. I actually have a Spanish-speaking assignment as a missionary which has been so cool! I actually took over 5 years of French in junior high and high school, so it was quite the surprise to receive that assignment.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this church is true. I have seen so many blessings from my knowledge of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though I grew up in the church, I have really gone through my own conversion process. Through living the principles of the gospel, reading in the Book of Mormon, and prayer I have come to a knowledge of these things. The gospel brings me peace of mind during challenges and the ability to work through them with the Lord's help. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I love being a missionary! I have really had to rely on the Lord to be able to handle learning a language and adapting to missionary life so quickly. I love the opportunity to share my faith about my Savior Jesus Christ everyday with people I have never even met before. I know that being kind and positive with everyone is an opportunity to share my testimony of Christ and his love for all of us. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are to be like him and to help others try to be like him too. Through my experiences, I have come to know that challenges in this life aren't easy, and will never be easy. However, God gives us the ability to overcome those trials to make us so much stronger.
