Hi I'm Catherine

I am a stay at home mother of two children (soon to be three), I am a mormon

About Me

I am a stay at home mom, and I love to spend time with my children teaching them about this beautiful world God has created for us. I also love to create and build things for my home and for others. Right now I am focusing on crocheting and sewing new things. I have a love for travel, and have been to Peru twice before I got married. I love the Hispanic culture and language! I also enjoyed the history and majesty of the countryside. I love music and have a great passion for singing. I also love to dance, my favorite thing was Highland dancing as a youth.

Why I am a Mormon

I came to know of my Savior Jesus Christ as a very young child of six. Having a difficult time adjusting to the divorce of my parents I was often grieved and missing my father at night. My mother told me that I always have a Heavenly Father to turn to and that my savior Jesus Christ knew what I was going through because of his atonement. I prayed many times for help and comfort and always felt a warm feeling in my heart as if I was being wrapped in a hug. I knew that my mother was right, I have a loving Heavenly Father and Savior who are always there for me and love me very much. Because of this experience I learned that God answers prayers and I have felt that same response from him throughout my life as I've sought answers to questions. I know that he is always there and will always answer us if we are humble and ask with faith.

How I live my faith

Within our church we have an amazing woman's organization and I love being able to serve as an education leader. I organize the teachers who give lessons on Sunday and also oversee the music. It is such a blessing to be a part of an organization of sisters who help uplift and support one another even if we come from different backgrounds and situations. We are always there to watch out for one another and give help and support when needed.
