Hi I'm Ashton

I'm a missionary in Finland, and i'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the 2nd of 4 kids. I love pretty much any type of water sport there is. I have been competitive swimming for 8 years now and I swim Freestyle and Butterfly. I also really like to travel, camp, paintball, and to hang out with my friends and family. I'm looking forward to serving my mission in Finland after I am finished in the MTC and when I get back I plan on going to school to study engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it just makes sense. Everything comes together perfectly. Being the restored church of Jesus Christ means that it is the same church that Christ set up while he was here on Earth. To me that's super cool. The fact that we can have all of the blessings and happiness that are promised is an amazing gift. Through personal prayer and scripture study I have gained a knowledge for myself of the truthfulness of this church. My favorite aspect of the gospel is eternal families. Family is everything to me. I love that even after we die on Earth, we are able to see and be with loved ones again. I am truly grateful for this church and all of the many blessings that it brings.

How I live my faith

Service is a huge part of my life. For my Eagle Scout project I built a Human Sundial at an elementary school where I live. The kids will be able to stand in the middle and the sun will cast their shadow on the time. I also occasionally substitute taught Seminary which is an early morning scripture study class for the high school aged kids before school starts. Now I am in Finland teaching people about Christ and all that he has done for us.
