Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a college student. I want to serve others around the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love drawing and painting. I've been on both sides of the stage, doing tech crew and acting. I served a full-time mission in Guayaquil, Ecuador for 18 months after graduating high school. I'm currently working as a bank teller and going to college. I plan on getting a bachelors degree in Public Health and using it to be a health educator in third world countries.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and I've been a member all my life. I know this church is true because I have received so many blessings and confirmations of it. I imagine my life would be so different without the faith that has shaped it. I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and how He has given me so much when I deserve so little. The feelings of peace and love are worth every sacrifice.

How I live my faith

I taught the 5 - 6 year olds in church after graduating from the youth program where I was a president for a couple of years. I sacrificed a year and a half of my higher education to go to a different country and teach the people of Ecuador about Jesus Christ and how to put greater faith in Him. Now I serve in my ward as a member missionary, using social media as a platform to teach others about the church.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Serving a mission isn't a requirement of being a member of the Church. Young men usually serve at the age of 18 and young women can serve at the age of 19. Married couples can also serve missions. It is all voluntary. Show more Show less
