Hi I'm Melissa

I grew up in...well, I may be a wife, mother and businesswoman, I haven't quite grown up. I love my life.

About Me

I'm an entrepreneur for local products and import/export. Working for myself allows me to keep my priorities of being available first for my health and for my family in front of all else. I love pushing my physical, mental, even emotional ,limits to discover what's beyond them. I'm a foodie - cooking is my creative release. Though I've lived around the globe, the Pacific Northwest and all it has to offer is my beloved place to live and recreate. My bucket list gets longer every day with adventures, education and discovery. Overcoming adversity is no strange feat as I've had my share, while love, and joy are faithful victors over each obstacle!

Why I am a Mormon

Oh my. I've always been a seeker and always believed there is a power greater than myself. I was raised by a physician and a psychologist (insert call to pity) so questioning everything was ingrained in me as a constant practice. Ha. I love wine and coffee while since I was young had a "whisper" to stay off them, but not the motivation or support. I was given the book of Mormon with a sincere request to read and pray, seeking a testimony numerous times in my life. I didn't read until I was ready. Simply put, I was ready. I love the people. I love the community. I love the structure. I love the invitation to never stop learning and growing.

How I live my faith

Converted in February of 2012, and baptized February 2013 (insert story of why it took those months to take action), I was called as Secretary to our women's group September 2013. I love getting to know people 1/1 and being a part of a "hive"- like community, be it for church or my local community. Everyone has a gift to give. Everyone has a need and contribution. I tend to look for gaps I can help fill by connecting people with needs and needs with people.
