Hi I'm Gabe

I grew up in Kansas, I have 5 children and love to spend time with them and my wife.

About Me

I love to fix up the house, we recently bought a fixer-upper and now just finished remodeling it. I love to travel, recently my family and I visited Aspen, Colorado, Salt Lake City, Utah, and the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Surprisingly the children handeled the vacations very well and loved them. They have been asking when we were going again. I love to help out with coaching my sons baseball, basketball, and soccer teams. They grow up so fast and being apart of these events have been very rewarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe God sent His beloved Son to pay for my sins and all of mankind. I believe he lives and was resurrected the third day just as the Bible and Book of Mormon testify. These simple truths had lead my own mind to a realization that these words I read are true and make me feel a since of Hope, for great things to come if I just follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I believe God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ have called prophets in times past, as well as now. I believe God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith in answer to his prayer of what church to join. In answer to the boy Joseph's prayer he received more than he ever dreamed; Joseph was asked to restore His church back to the earth again, as well as translating the Book of Mormon an ancient record of the Americas dealings with God. I love the scriptures and the teachings which make me choose the right and overcome adversity on a daily basis. I am happy because of my testimony in God and love Him.

How I live my faith

I am the executive secretary for our Bishop in our local ward in Paola, Kansas. I have learned to love our fellow brothers and sisters even more and have grown to appreciatte my own blessings of family, faith, and service even more. I am anxious to home teach the families I have been assigned to by helping them from moving, building a fence and even bringing candy for the kids (even though the parents hide it and eat it sometimes).
