Hi I'm Kelsey Morgan

I grew up in Washington. I love sports, playing guitar, and hanging out with my friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! My name is Kelsey Morgan I lived in Duvall, Washington for 18 years and I am now a junior at BYU-Idaho majoring in psychology. My goal is to become a school counselor for a middle school or high school. I am the oldest of two kids and I love my family! I love basketball and snowboarding, playing guitar, piano, and hanging out with friends and family. When I was a freshman in high school, there were about fifty LDS kids in our midst and I thought they were the coolest people ever! So, when my sophomore year came, I went to seminary, church, and everything they did and was finally baptized on July 26th, 2009 at 16 years old. At first, it was a social thing, but 5 1/2 years later, it is my foundation and what makes me happy. Oh, and I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

That is a question that I get asked so much because of the "rules" that we follow and all of the misinformation and lack of good information going around about the church. At first, like I said, it was to be with my friends, but as these years have gone on, I have developed each part of my own testimony. In 2012, I prayed and found the answer that I am on the right track and that God is aware of me. From December, 2013-February, 2014, I served a mission in the Salt Lake City East Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There I gained my testimony of Jesus Christ as my Savior having the ability to do anything and that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ and that he was a prophet who restored the true gospel to the earth. Here at BYU-Idaho the fall 2014 semester, I have gained a strong testimony of prayer and that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ here our prayers and have the knowledge of our desires and lead us to where we will learn and grow the most. Ultimately, they only want our happiness. I am a Mormon because it makes sense to me. I don't know the answers to all your questions, but I do know that what I have learned and felt is true. I am a Mormon because it makes you a better person and helps you become more Christlike if you follow our Heavenly Father's plan. I am a Mormon because it is what truly makes me happy.

How I live my faith

The best for me to live my faith is by example. I am the only member in my family, so, I believe that is the most powerful way we can influence others because our actions reflect our beliefs and our testimonies. I have learned a great deal from my family and friends. I would not be the person I am or where I am without their love and influence in my life. I also believe doing the little things of the gospel are the most important which include. prayer twice daily, scripture study daily, going to church every Sunday, and attending the temple as often as you can. This "little things" have strengthened me the most.
