Hi I'm Tammy

I love life, liberty, and family! Together, we enjoy hiking, tennis, family vacations. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second child of thirteen children. I love my family. We frequently get together to work and play. I am married to a wonderful man and we are the parents of seven beautiful children. We are just beginning to discover the joy of grand parenting. It is great! I love learning! I studied nutrition in college and then continued my education in natural health and herbal remedies. Recently, I began an education program in United States History and the U.S. Constitution. It has been fascinating! I love my role as wife, mother, and homemaker. My daughters are my best friends and we sew and cook and learn together. My sons keep me in shape with tennis, hiking, and building projects.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family and I learned much about our faith as a child but it was not until I was an adult that I became truly converted. As a young mother, I devoted many hours to personal scripture study. I wanted to know for myself that the things I was teaching my children were true. I have felt the Spirit of God touch my heart and guide my study on several occasions. He has lifted my burdens and comforted my soul through the challenges and struggles of life. I love the scriptures!! especially the Book of Mormon. This book has taught me so much about the purpose of life and the role of Jesus Christ, my Savior and Redeemer. Through prayer, scripture study and application of gospel principles my heart has changed for the better. I cannot deny the existence of God. I know He loves me and my family. I love being a Mormon and attending church services each week so that my faith can be renewed and strengthened by friends, neighbors, and leaders who share my beliefs.

How I live my faith

I study and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ each day in my family. We do home school and the first course of our school day is to learn from the scriptures. I also enjoy teaching the scriptures in my ward. Over the past several years, I have taught the young children, the youth, and the adults. I love people of all ages and appreciate the opportunity to learn together. I also love music. I play the piano and organ for our congregation. Learning to play the hymns of the church has been a wonderful blessing in my life. I believe my responsibility as a mother and homemakers is an honor and privilege given to me by God. I have dedicated my spare time to service in a national organization working to empower mothers and strengthen families. As I meet women around the country who are dedicated to motherhood, I am in awe at their strength, service and sacrifice.
