Hi I'm Ashley Jensen

I am a sophomore in college. I dream of traveling the world. I love having fun with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Southern California. I love the beach, the sun, and my family and friends. I am a sophomore in college and don't have a major yet, but I have considered everything from Mechanical Engineering to Pre-med. I play the violin and the piano and love country music. I love animals and have had dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, etc. I am the oldest of six kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel because it makes me happy. The teachings of the Church make sense and feel right. I feel the Spirit when I go to church and do what I should. When I make a mistake, I feel horrible until I make it right and repent and regain the Spirit in my life. I love knowing that I never have to feel alone. I love my family and the way the gospel helps my relationship with them and shapes the way we live. I love my Savior and His teachings. I love knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and that my family can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I am going to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I love going to school in a place where so many people have the same standards and are trying to be the best people they can be. I love attending church and meeting new people, especially students like me. I try to reach out to those who need my help, just like Christ did. I am honest and always try to "choose the right" by upholding my standards and living what I believe.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Ashley Jensen
We believe that we cannot be saved except through the grace of God. We believe that we will make mistakes in this life and that if we repent, we can be forgiven through the Atonement of Christ. No one is perfect, so we as human beings cannot reach the perfection needed to return to heaven by ourselves. We must do all we can do to follow the commandments and what we are told to do in the scriptures and by prophets, etc and repent for our mistakes, but in the end, we will be saved by grace.
