Hi I'm Julie Leishman

I am a wife and a mother of 5 children. I play the piano, sing and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with music in my home and learned to play the piano, organ, and sing. I currently encourage my children to learn musical instruments and help them as they learn. I love to sing in a choir and feel the power music brings to my soul when all the parts come together. My family enjoys hiking together in the mountains and valleys that surround us. My husband and I have had opportunities visit and live in different parts of the world giving me the change to meet new people and learn of different cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always believed in God and Jesus Christ but at the age of 20 I lost my father. I was the oldest child and held my brother and sisters in my arms as we cried together. We didn't have the time to say good bye, we love you, or even have that last hug. In that moment I prayed and had such peace come over me that I knew God loved me and Jesus loved me. I know my Savior provided a way for me to be with my father again someday. From that time as I try to keep God's commandments, read my scriptures, and pray I have been given opportunities to continue to grow and learn more of Jesus Christ's love and sacrifice for me. I know God lives. I know he has given us prophets today to guide us. We are blessed with Temples that give us the chance to bind us together with our loved ones not just for life but for eternity. Christ knows each of us, loves us, and sacrificed for every single one of us. God the Father Lives, Jesus Christ Lives, and the Holy Spirit can testify this to you.

How I live my faith

I love to volunteer at the elementary school in town and work with the children in math and reading. Also, I get to work with cub scouts and their leaders as they work towards their arrow of light award. I have a great friend who I go visit others with. We work to put a smile on their face and find out anything they may need help with.
