Hi I'm Cassie

I grew up in Washington, I am a mother, I am a step mother, and I am forever a Mormon!

About Me

The first and most important calling in my life is that of wife and mother. I am lucky to be a mom and step mom to five children. It's not always easy, but life is always full of obstacles. Our job is to overcome them. My joy in life is found in cooking. I love to experience new flavors and create new recipes for my family to enjoy. I love to read and get completely lost in a good story. I love to play games with my family and friends. I love to help others. I love learning. I love art and creating things with my hands. I love to sew. I love all types of music and enjoy playing instruments. I love to play and watch sports. I am simple and can find joy in the small things in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was raised in it and baptized at the age of 8. My conversion story begins though when I was in my young adult hood. As everyone must develop their own testimony, I too had to develop mine. I struggled with religion in my teen years. I felt the spirit at times but I was often confused as to what of these teachings were true. I knew with my heart and sole that there was a Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. In spite of this knowledge I lost my way. When I got married and began to have children, that is when my conversion took place. I realized that I needed to be more than what I was choosing because my children deserved more. They deserved a mother that was going teach them the way to true happiness. They deserved to be able to have all the truths of life so when it came time for their conversion they would be able to make their choice having this knowledge. I began to see a growth in my spirit and knowledge of the gospel. I became stubborn in learning and growing my testimony. I choose everyday to be Mormon because of this conversion. I choose every day to be Mormon because I know that what I have learned and studied are true. I know that this is the gospel that Christ established on earth. I know that he is the light and the way. I know that through living my life as a Christ like example I will truly be happy. Most importantly I know that through this gospel and through the promises it teaches I can live with my family forever, I can continue to progress, and I can live in eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through trying to be an example of Christ each day. Life get's stressful and we often get lost in the struggles we face. If I can do one thing for my husband to make sure he knows he is loved each day, that is what I strive for. I want my children to be able to have a home that is peaceful and a life raft from the harsh storms in the world. If I can make them feel more at peace at home, that is what I strive for. I get the opportunity to create a fun and creative learning environment for girls to get together, create new friendships, and learn new skills. Through this opportunity I can teach and bear witness of Christ to these young girls and hopefully get them interested and excited about his gospel.
