Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Tempe, Arizona. I love reading, music, backpacking, and tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I study artificial intelligence, philosophy, and East Asian studies at Stanford University. I love to sing, play the guitar, and perform. I also love the outdoors and go backpacking every chance I get.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe this is the religion that allows me to both become the best I can possibly be and achieve happiness--two things that go hand in hand. This is also a religion that helps me forget myself, focus on others, and thus find myself. "Whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." I read the Book of Mormon and I know that it is a book of scripture that works hand in hand with the Bible. I know that it is the evidence that the gospel of Christ was restored in these modern times. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know that God still loves us and provides prophets for us in these days to help us through the trials of life. I know that this is His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to keep a close relationship with my Heavenly Father so that He can help me become better each day. I also try to share the happiness I've found through this faith by reaching out to others. Right now, I am serving for two years as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Seoul, South Korea.
