Hi I'm Shanna Thurman

I am a wife, mother of 6 and grandmother of 8. I grew up in Utah and have lived here all my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah and can't imagine myself living any other place. I graduated from college and worked for the Federal Government until I married and was able to stay home with my children. I love to travel to see my children and grandchildren who live far away from us. I also like to travel to new places and see new things. I enjoy reading, sewing and cooking. I also enjoy being a substitute teacher at the elementary school where my children attended.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that were Mormons, but I have studied and prayed to know that the church and it's teachings are true and have received a confirmation that it is true. I had the opportunity to serve as a missionary when I was younger and now I have the opportunity, with my husband, to serve again. We are excited to be able to share our testimony and love for the gospel with others. I have been very blessed in my life and I want to share this with others who are looking for something in their lives. I know if we follow the Savior, Jesus Christ, we will be happy and feel the love He has for each one of us.I know that I am a child of a loving Heavenly Father and that He is guiding my life.

How I live my faith

I like to be involved in my community by working at a polling location for the elections. I love working with the young women of my church. They are a great group of young women as the young men. We have fun and we also have done service projects to help others. I have also worked with the women and enjoy serving them. I live my faith by serving and helping and loving others.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Shanna Thurman
Our Heavenly Father loves us very much, just like we love our children. He will help us to know the truth of all things if we we will ask Him. If we read the Book of Mormon and then ask our Heavenly Father, we can know it is truly His word, just as the Bible is. Show more Show less
