Hi I'm Melany

I grew up in Utah. I have lived in Chile and Georgia, USA. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah for about 30 years and was raised in the LDS faith. I have lived outside of the US in Chile for about a year and then moved back for 2 years in Georgia, USA. I like to knit and crochet making gifts for family and friends. I would like to have a cottage on the coast someday with a boutique.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion story is something I hold dear to my heart, I believe it is because it started so many wonderful events in my life. I was raised as a latter-day saint and was baptized at age 8; sometime during my teenage years I left the gospel and God. It was a trying period in my life, full of loneliness from things of the world that could not fill or replace the void I had in my life. Today, I have been actively engaged in the gospel and have a testimony of Our Savior and his love. It has been 7 years that I am a Mormon of true intent and strong belief that you may be forgiven. I know that not everyone has to have the same experiences to draw closer to the Lord. I also know, that I am not without imperfections and will continue to have adversity in my life. It is part of why we came to Earth; to receive bodies and to gain for ourselves the knowledge and experiences that would help us to become strong and Christ-like. I have a firm belief that we are children of God and he wants us to return to him when this life is complete. Our lives are eternal and the decisions in this life will help us in how we may be with our family members again that have died. There was a time that I questioned what was my purpose in life. Why was I here? With sincere conversion to the gospel and going back to church I was able to find the light I so longingly search for yet could not understand. If you take the time to honestly ask and pray with faith about what is true you will get answers that will fill your heart and life with great eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I go to church with my husband every Sunday for Sacrament meeting, and other church meetings. We also attend Institute once a week at a nearby college. We are currently studying the "Words of Isaiah."
