Hi I'm McKenzi

I love to laugh. I am an athlete and an artist. I am a sister and daughter. I am a friend. I am a missionary. And I am a Mormon!

About Me

I'm McKenzi and I am 20 years old. I live in a small mostly Mormon town in Arizona where I grew up with three little brothers and a little sister. Growing up I always had a strong love of missionaries and missionary work. I played almost every sport offered where I live at one time or another and discovered a love of art, especially painting. After graduating high school I moved to Rexburg Idaho for a semester at Brigham Young University-Idaho. During that semester it was announced in the church that girls would be able to serve missions at age nineteen. I returned home to work as a CNA in the town's nursing home to save up for the mission. After various trials and difficulties I received my call in September. I'm currently serving in the Jacksonville Florida Mission and I love being a missionary and spreading the gospel! I have learned so much while serving. I have learned about my Savior Jesus Christ and all that He has done for me. I have seen the effects of His atonement not only in my life but in the lives of those I have met. I have been able to witness first hand the improvement the Gospel causes in the lives of God's children. I have gained a stronger testimony of The Book of Mormon and I know for a surety of it's truthfulness. I know that God because of His infinite love restored the Gospel for us today through His prophet Joseph Smith. I know that there is a prophet that speaks to us today. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and all His children.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm not a mormon because my family is or because everyone where I live is one. I'm a mormon because I've seen how the Gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me in my life and has blessed my life and the lives of those around me. I can testify to the truthfulness of the scriptures, the words of the prophets and the teaching of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the Lord's church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me and always looking for ways to serve Heavenly Father's children. As a missionary I have many opportunities to teach them about the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Sometimes it's tough to live the Gospel but I love tough things. When I am not a missionary I live my faith by participating in my church callings in every way I can. I continue to try to share the gospel with my friends and family.
