Hi I'm Allison

I'm a mom of two boys. I graduated from nursing school. I am a trained doula. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I met my husband in college and we graduated school together. The transition from college to real life was a whirlwind. I became pregnant, my husband found a job, and we moved across the country into the unfinished basement of generous family. I received my RN right after school and would have started working if my pregnancy didn't have such a rocky start. I had thought I had lost the baby. A very emotional time, but thankfully, the baby was alright. He ended up being a preemie, but has been healthy and happy ever since. It was partially due to that experience that I trained to be a doula. I love helping moms and dads through their unique birth experience. I also had another boy last year and hope to add more to our family in the future. I love to read, watch movies with my boys, and play games together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and I continue to follow His gospel because I know it's true. I can feel in my heart the truth that is there and the love of my savior. This church has brought me happiness even during trials. I'm grateful for this gospel because I know my savior loves me, is always there to comfort me, and is there to help me reach him again. As long as I follow His commandments and do my best, I will be able to return to Him in heaven and live with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I am the secretary for the woman's organization for our congregation. I help our group's president keep things organized so that we can make sure all the women in our area feel loved and thought of. We always try to follow the motto, "Charity never faileth" as we serve all those around us.
