Hi I'm Karter Brown

I grew up in the church and live the gospel of Jesus Christ as an example to my peers.

About Me

One of my greatest joys has been in personal development and finding strength through the power of Jesus Christ. During my two year mission for the church, I discovered many weaknesses and felt overwhelmed with depression and frustration. With help of family, leaders, counselors, medication, and faith building experiences, I somehow pulled through with a love and better understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, I enjoy each moment, hobby, and daily challenges that come my way. I'm confident that these experiences are only to benefit my growth and I know by the purpose of God's plan for me, he will guide me in every obstacle. These new strengths and gifts have given me hope and I love to share these things with many who struggle in similar circumstances. One of my favorite scriptures gives detail to some of these following steps. 1. Gratitude and feelings of joy 2. Humility and meekness 3. Commitment, Action, Faith and Decision points 4. Blessings of spiritual guidance and testimony. Mosiah 4:11

Why I am a Mormon

Each point of progression, inspiration has led me to action. I've prepared for leadership opportunities and being led by the spirit, I chose to accept the callings the Lord provided for me. These included baptism, priesthood ordination, receiving a patriarchal blessing, preparing for a mission, returning from a mission and living principles and commandments taught in the scriptures. In each of their own experiences, I turned my heart to God and accepted his plan for me. Surprisingly every time I make these acts of faith, I feel more prepared and determined to serve God. Serving God to me is serving his children and developing Christlike Attributes. I have a strong belief that these blessings have been given to me as I have been determined to serve God's children. I have an immense amount of gratitude for this love I feel. Beginning with every feeling and emotion, I was supported to accomplish something greater than myself. It's a constant urge and inclination to be God's servant. He guides us in the direction of divine spiritual enlightenment and promptings. We can act and be moved upon by these motions and expand our knowledge of truth and purpose.

How I live my faith

A quotation from a verse of scripture which I hold close to my heart - Mosiah 4:11 "And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of His love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel. 12 And behold, I say unto you that if ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the love of God, and always retain a remission of your sins; and ye shall grow in the knowledge of the glory of Him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true." These things I know are true and I've experienced the hope of living the gospel. These truths have been restored and we can strengthen our belief in them by choosing righteous ways again and again. When we fall, we shall not be immobilized by these mistakes, but cause them to lift our souls and humble us enough to repent and move forward. In some point of my mission for the church, I made daily commitments to study the Gospel and live the principles. This resolved many of my doubts and filled my heart with more truth. I accepted the challenges that God had given me and I began to see an increase of blessings each day of my life. The spirit was more evident and I could recognize the Lord's light. To my amazement, many of my friends and family related their experiences to mine. This gave me strength. I also studied about prophet's such as Paul, Joseph of Egypt, Moses, Moroni, Joseph Smith and Many more. I have confidence in these truths.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Karter Brown
The gospel was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith. Through his work an angel came to him and gave him the Priesthood. Joseph Smith passed the priesthood to his Twelve Apostles and prophets just like we have today. Today our prophets and apostles are from the priesthood of the lord. The Prophet Thomas S. Monson recieves revelation from the lord to direct our church Show more Show less
