Hi I'm Brad

I am a thrill seeker. I lived in Korea for two years of my life. I'm a poor college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recently engaged young student and at university. I love hiking and camping and basically anything outdoors, and I love doing those things with my beautiful fiancee. I am studying Mechanical Engineering at the university and every semester, I am overwhelmed with the amount of work I have to do. I served as an LDS missionary in Seoul, South Korea and returned recently. I am teaching the Korean language to missionaries in the Missionary Training Center and I love my job. I love teaching!! One of my other hobbies that I have done since High School is swimming. I lived in the water during High School as I progressed quickly in speed and made the cut for competing at my state swimming championship. I also worked as a lifeguard during the summers. I am a very competitive person. I also love doing really thrilling things like roller coasters or bungee jumping. Basically anything that gives me butterflies. I often worry about my future and the kind of person I am becoming in this sad and scary world. I love the self strength that comes from living the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth. There are amazing followers of Christ all over this world and they may be confused why we think we are the only true church of Jesus Christ. I know they have strong faith in Christ and invite them to see how living prophets and apostles called and lead by the Lord, a church organization to let the members serve with all of their heart, might, mind and strength, and continuing revelation from God, will help them live their faith even more. Jesus Christ knows us and wants us to have knowledge and testimony and attributes in Him. This church is his church and he continues to lead us and bless us. I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, that adds to the testimony of the Jesus Christ that the Bible gives us. When I read the Book of Mormon for the first time, the book instructed me to pray about the truth of the book, to ask for myself if it was true of not. I did pray and as I was doing so, I felt a warm and comforting feeling that swept through my body and confirmed to me that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I could feel that he was close to me and he knew me. Because of my testimony of the Book of Mormon I came to reason for myself that this church is also God's church. It has blessed my life more than I can ever explain. I invite all to hear the word of the Lord spoken to us through living prophets and apostles, to read the Book of Mormon and compare it to the words already given to us in the Bible, and to pray to God to know what is true. He will lead you!

How I live my faith

I love the opportunities the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints offers God's children. I have the opportunity of serving these children of God through my responsibilities of visiting other members and helping them in any needs they have. We love each other and help each other to overcome our challenges we face in our lives. Throughout my youth I have had many opportunities to take care of people in my community and learn the value of service and hard work. I crave the feeling I get from being an answer to another person's prayer. I hope that I can follow the spirit of God so I can be in the right place at the right time for someone in need. For two years of my life I left my home in Utah and served as a full time missionary for the church in Seoul, Korea. I was able to participate in teaching those interested in finding the happiness and peace that comes from following Jesus Christ. I learned much about my relationship with Jesus Christ and about the person he would like me to be. I will never forget the modern day miracles I saw while serving the Lord in Korea. Right now I teach missionaries called to preach the gospel in the Korean language. I love my time with them the way I feel when I am with the servants of the Lord. The spirit of God is truly with them, and they teach me through the spirit every day I am with them. I know that God lives and that his Son Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. They love us and want what is best for us.
