Hi I'm Richard

My father served in the military, so I lived in many places. I have been a Dentistry for over 41 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and Dad first and foremost. We have 4 sons and 3 daughters (in that order) and 21 grandchildren. I have been active in my community and state in youth, charity and educational causes. I love helping others. I fill my own bucket and relax by reading, woodcarving and family activities.

Why I am a Mormon

My Heavenly Father has a plan for me and each of us. Knowing this plan gives me a perspective that extends beyond this earthly life. He wants me and my family and all of his children to be happy and reach our greatest potential. How we can do this is the essence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. By living in accordance with his will we will avoid the common pitfalls of life that he has warned us off. I love God and Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Ghost I can know the truth of all things. I am appreciative of the fact that the Lord has called Prophets and Apostles in our time, a time of great need of Heavenly help. The family is central to this plan and I have had the blessing of a wonderful family built on this foundation of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I grew up in a close family as my father served in the military and we moved every several years. Our faith and activity in the church was the glue that bound our family together. This provided a wonderful foundation for the family that my wife and I have been able to build. We have established family traditions of daily prayer, scripture study, and family activities that have helped build a seance of belonging and positive self esteem in each of us. We have several of these building blocks that we have committed to do "no matter what" that reflect our priorities and importance of each member of our family. In order to improve the world around us I have devoted time and effort on the local school board, volunteered in youth baseball and basketball, served extensively with the Boy Scouts of America, the local and state level of the American Heart Association among other things. Church service has also been a big part of my life. I have worked with the youth for many years on both the local and area level.....all in a effort to not only help my family but their friends and others in the community. Each individual is important and they deserve my best efforts.
