Hi I'm Bobbi Petersen

I'm a Mormon and I love it! I am currently serving in the Washington, Vancouver mission.

About Me

I just graduated High School in May and I am leaving on my mission to Vancouver, Washington in December. I love to play tennis and the violin! I love to be outside, whether it's going for a run or on a backpacking trip. I love to cook and eat. :) I enjoy trying new recipes and cooking for other people. Once I get started on a good book, I can't put it down and I absolutely adore Disney movies! I have a big extended family and one of my favorite things to do is get together with cousins at my Grandma's house.

Why I am a Mormon

This Gospel brings me so much happiness, I love to learn more about Christ and all that He has done for me. Whenever I attend church and try to be more like Him, I can feel of His love for me and that is my greatest source of peace and joy. I know that if we do the things that our Father in Heaven has asked us to do, it will help us to have more meaning in our lives and receive answers to our questions. I know that as we go through difficult times in our lives, the Savior and our Father in Heaven are there for us and can help us. Sometimes we may feel we are alone and unloved, but when we feel this way we can pray to feel our Heavenly Father's love and know that everything will be okay. My testimony of Jesus Christ means everything to me and helps me to make every decision in my life. I know that we are born in certain families and circumstances for a reason and that Heavenly Father has individual plans for our lives that will lead to eternal happiness. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by serving as a missionary, I have the opportunity to declare what I believe to total strangers everyday and I love it! My faith influences every decision that I make and those decisions have molded me into the person that I am today. Being a missionary is not always easy, but it is always worth it! We face a lot of rejection, but I know that I am helping people and this is where the Lord wants me to be. I love the opportunity we have to invite EVERYONE to come closer to Christ. I'm so lucky!

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Bobbi Petersen
As my faith in Jesus Christ has increased, my desires to serve those in my family has increased also. That's one of the things I love most about Christ, is that when we grow closer to Him we can also grow in our love for everyone else around us. I know this is true because it has happened in my own life. :) Show more Show less
