Hi I'm Timothy

I am an EMT, Eagle Scout and lifeguard. I love singing, musical theater, soccer, family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I did both homeschool and public school off and on growing up. After 8th grade I decided to homeschool through high school but continued to attend my public school for choir and orchestra. I love singing and muscial theater and was particularly happy to participate in a homeschool theater group that promoted Chrisitan principles and kept their musicals clean and appropriate for all ages. My favorite roles were Ugly in HONK!, Charlie Davenport in Annie Get Your Gun and Wickersham Brother 1 in Seussical. Performing arts gave me the opportunity to develop talents and spend time with friends. I participated in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and appreciate the good standards and goal setting scouting encourages. I want to be an anesthesiologist so I took a EMT class my last year of high school to get a head start in medical studies. I'm a missionary for the church now. I will be serving in the Brazil Fortaleza Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but that is not why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I prayed to my Heavenly Father and I received that revelation that there is a loving Heavenly Father. That we have a savior and his name is Jesus Christ and he LIVES. I am a Mormon because I have grown and received the testimony that this is my saviors Church the Church of Jesus Christ of latter days. I have seen and had so many blessings because of my faithfulness and my prayers. I know that I am guided in my every day life by a loving Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I try to love everyone around me. I have many friends. In 8th grade I felt strongly that I should homeschool for high school. Even though I loved public school and would miss my friends, I knew it was what Heavenly Father wanted me to do. Two years later, at the beginning of my junior year, I felt strongly that I should take the EMT class that year even though it was only for seniors. I had to convince the program directors and they made an exception because I would by 18 in time for the test at the end of the year. A couple months into my junior year, the announcement was made that lowered the age for young men in my church to serve missions. I decided to graduate a year early so that I could serve my mission at 18. If I hadn't made that decision to homeschool 2 years earlier and hadn't fought to get my EMT, I wouldn't have had that choice to leave earlier. I know I was guided by the Spirit to make choices that would bless me later in my life. I know that there is a reason I need to serve my mission now. There are people who I need to meet and who need to meet me. In general I try to be a good example of living Christian principles. I try to love the people around me and be non-judgmental. I try to always follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost in my life. I have been blessed to help several friends through big trials in their lives because they knew they could turn to me. I feel like Heavenly Father puts each of us in situations where we can be of service to each other. We all have talents and abilities that help us to be the friend we need to be for the people who need us.
