Hi I'm Liz

I laugh too much. I dance anywhere I please. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Yo yo yoooo! My name's Liz! Call me Liz, Izzy, whatever you want, just not Lizzy. I was born in and survived the Kahuku hospital in Hawaii, was raised in Rose Park, Salt Lake City, Utah, and now live between Provo and Cedar Hills, Utah. I'm polynesian with a mix of lots of things: (Samoan, Hawaiian, Tongan, Tahitian, Maori, Irish, German, Chinese, and Portuguese, to name a few). I study Electrical Engineering in college. I spend most of my time playing games, watching movies, or eating with my hilarious friends and loving family. I LOVE watching the multiple shows I obsess over, doing fun things or just sitting around staring at my friends, reading books or articles, listening to music, and especially DANCING till my body's too sore! I'm no professional, TRUST me, but it makes me happy and makes me love music even more! It's hard for me to sit still. Life is too great!

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents are members of the church and so is most of my family, but even growing up with the gospel didn't do a lot until I went through my own trials and my own conversion. Christmas Eve 2005, I found out I have Bells Palsy (a rare neural virus that numbs the nerve in half a body part)--in my case it's the right half of my face. It happened after I had just moved and started middle school, and I didn't handle it very well. I was very angry, ashamed, and frustrated. Eventually it started getting better, but it came back full force around Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2011, when I was half way through my Senior year in high school. This time I decided to handle better with positivity and action. I read the Book of Mormon on my own for the first time and prayed hard. Although the situation wasn't the best, the gospel helped me learn to be happy, and I've learned to accept and find the purpose in the hardships I have to go through. I've also seen the gospel change SO many lives from BAD to GOOD, and GOOD to BETTER. Now I've seen it change MY life and it still continues to do so. I'm so blessed in my life despite all the bad things I've done, and I'm SO grateful for everything I have and have to look forward to. I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy, gives me hope and comfort, and I LOVE IT! :D

How I live my faith

I surround myself with AMAZING people. My family are all such great examples to me (good and bad, we all have that!), and I make sure to spend time with friends that are fun, hilarious, love life, and just good people! I LOVE meeting new people! I try to be kind and befriend those I come in contact with by either saying hi, smiling, joking around with them, or getting to know them a little. I easily accept and love everyone because everyone's different but still deserves a friend. By keeping great people around me, it's helped me try to be a better friend to all and has helped me be a better member of the church. I now go to church every Sunday, attend all my meetings, go to all the activities that I can, love and fulfill my calling as a Home Evening Captain, and now I'm going on a mission to serve the people of Roseville, California!
