Hi I'm Wendy

I am an Australian. I am a mother and grandmother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of 7 children, 29 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. They are all wonderful, individual people that I love to spend time with and who accept me for who I am. I feel blessed to have been married for more than 45 years to someone wonderful. I believe family is the most important thing. I enjoy cooking, gardening, family history, walking and lots of other things. I have lived in several states in Australia and in overseas countries and appreciated the differences and similarities with people I have met. We will soon go overseas again, this time as volunteers to help with humanitarian projects in Europe. In spite of all the heartache in the world I still think life is wonderful and there is much we can do that is positive.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Mormon church when I was a child. I enjoyed the teachings and association with Mormons as I grew up. There were times over the years when others did not understand and were less than kind. As I matured I wanted to know for myself if this was the life that God wanted for me. I know that it is. It is hard to explain how you can know but you can. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is simple to understand, but it is a life long challenge to live as He wants. I am so grateful for the blessings I have. That I can be assured that life continues after death, that problems can be overcome or lightened. that we can be hopeful and happy in the midst of turmoil. I know prayers are answered.

How I live my faith

I believe there is a loving Heavenly Father who wants us to do all we can to help each other. I enjoy teaching children at church. I have spent much time with youth over the years, organising activities and talking with them. I have enjoyed the opportunity to help people who need a bit of a hand.
