Hi I'm Braedon M Heaps

I'm from Utah. I love the guitar and water polo. I'm a missionary for the Lubbock Texas Spanish speaking mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from high school in 2013. I played water polo all four years--I played offensive hole. I play the acoustic guitar and I sing. Once I get back from serving in the Texas Lubbock mission in 2015, I plan on going to Snow College in Ephraim Utah on scholarship--two years, full tuition and fees. I love playing the old Pokemon games on the computer and hanging out with my two best friends. I was a lifeguard and swim teacher for three years and absolutely loved being able to wear flip flops for work. Music, friends, family, and sports are my life. One of my life goals is to start a band and get one of my band's songs to be a top ten hit on iTunes. I plan on teaching the gospel for the rest of my life in the Church Education System if i can, teaching seminary and institute. I absolutely LOVE the gospel of Jesus Christ. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have felt it in my heart--through the Holy Ghost--that this is the true church, and that the covenants I make by being a member of this church will bring me closer to Christ, my Father in Heaven, AND my family and friends. This church is so true. Jesus really suffered the Atonement, and if we show faith that he did by repenting and keeping all of God's commandments, we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again. I know it with every fiber of my being, and then some more. Only through the restoration of the gospel, the world has access to the priesthood authority of God. And the priesthood authority, only found in this church, can make it so one can be baptized and be clean of all sin, and one can be sealed to his family for the rest of eternity, so that Eternal Life, in its truest form, is very accessible to all who live by God's conditions.

How I live my faith

I have honestly gone through my live always 'living' my faith, but going through the motions regardless. I finally have come to the point where i can say that i know with a perfect knowledge that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and made possible eternal life. I serve when I can and say something uplifting to as many as i can--everyone is a child of God and deserves to hear something good about them. I am in the Lubbock Texas Mission to serve my Lord for two years full time. I preach the gospel to live and show what i know to be true. I am continually trying to change and be made better, applying the Atonement of our Master every day. It's not easy, because i still have a long way to go until i am perfect, but i know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, i will be able to be made clean and whole so that i can live in the Celestial kingdom in the presence of my perfect and glorified Father in heaven.
