Hi I'm Sarah

I am from Utah, I am the oldest in my family, I love to be active, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Sarah and I am a senior in high school. I have strived to keep good grades so that I can get a good scholarship to go to college and be a doctor. But most of all, I want to be a mom! I can't wait to have a family of my own someday. I love animals, especially cats and dogs. I love to dance and am on the Drill Team in my high school. Some other hobbies of mine are reading, anything outdoors (camping, hiking, river rafting), being with my family, and school. My favorite subject in school is biology. I absolutely love music; I like all different genres, especially the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. My favorite foods are anything Italian (unless it has fish or seafood, which I despise!), or Costa Vida (a Mexican restaurant). I love to serve, and I am a member of the service club as well as the National Honor Society (we serve a LOT!) I definitely have a testimony of the gospel, and have experienced it in my own life. I love going to Seminary, which is a class for high school aged kids that teaches more about our doctrine and just keeps us spiritually fed. I love the Savior and I am so grateful for what he's done for me, and I'm excited to share my testimony of the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I absolutely love this gospel. I can honestly say that I don't know where I would be without it! It has helped me in so many aspects of my life. I know how to make good choices and avoid consequences that I don't want to have in my life. I know that I can rely on the Savior for whatever I need, and that He is always there for me. I know that because of the Plan of Salvation and because of the Savior and His Atonement I can return to live with my Father in Heaven someday. I know that death is not the end, and that I will be able to see my friends and family again who have passed on. I know that with the scriptures in my life I can have my questions and prayers answered. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and truly restored the fullness of the gospel onto the earth in these latter days. I know that our current prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, is called of God and leads and guides us today. I know that the Savior will come to this earth again someday. I am so grateful for family, for prayer, for the scriptures, for the power of the Savior's Atonement that I can be forgiven of my sins, and for this gospel to guide me throughout my life. I know that the Savior lives, that He died for me, and that through Him I can be forgiven of my sins.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings and opportunities to serve in my ward and community. I love to serve, and I am a member of the service club as well as the National Honor Society (we serve a LOT!) I have also helped organize our youth camps and conferences, been on a committee for arranging ward activities and get-togethers, and I have been in the Presidency of our youth women's group, called the Young Women. Recently I was asked to teach the adults in our ward a lesson, and I have taught many times in our ward, my seminary class, and in my family's family home evenings.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Family is the central unit of our religion. Our families are our system of love and support. Families can live together for eternity, if we accept the Atonement of Jesus Christ and perform the sacred ordinances in God's holy temple. Jesus gave to Peter the power to have things sealed on earth and sealed in heaven (Matthew 16:19). This same sealing power was restored to Joseph Smith. Mormon’s believe that they can be “sealed” or bound together through His power enabling them to live together in eternity. Show more Show less
