Hi I'm LaRene

I am a Mormon girl through and through and I have loved it!

About Me

I have been married to my great husband for 36 years and have enjoyed learning and growing and experiencing life with him. We are the parents of 9 children, 4 girls and 5 boys. I haved love being a part of their lives as they have grown and developed their own talents. I have learned to enjoy many things that were not a part of my growing up years through my children. I have learned to enjoy listening to jazz music, violin, trumpet, guitar, and even the rat a tat of a drummer whose instrument was anything he could touch. I have learned about soccer, wrestling, football, track, and swimming. I know I would prefer an indoor swim meet to a cold windy football game. My youngest is now a senior in high school and this part of my life is about to change. I have 3 of my children that live close by with their children. I am glad to be a part of their lives and love being so close to them. I love watching them grow and experience life. I love to scrapbook, sew, quilt, and am now learning how to use an embroidery maching. I love learning how to use the computer and am amazed at how easy it comes to the young people. I just love being a part of such a big family and having so many people to love and who love me. I love being a wife! I love being a mom! I love my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to live my life as a Mormon. I have tried to live my life by following the Spirit of Christ and the promptings of the Holy Ghost. When it comes right down to it the Spirit bears witness of "Truth". I have experienced the witness of the spirit testifying to me of the truthfulness of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ through his servant Joseph Smith. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me and this is what they want for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live by this phrase, "What would God have me be doing?" As a young person it was "WWJD". I have done many things that I would not have done if I didn't follow this. I have experienced growth that resulted in my being faithful to that commitment. I know that our Heavenly Father sees in me potential that I do not see in myself. I do hard things because I know that there is divine support. I also recognize that His Hands are in my life guiding, directing, and helping me be successful. I have learned that having the practice of reading my scriptures and having meaningful prayer has been the best formula for living my faith. I have had the opportunity to working with the youth of the church in many ways. I have been involved with teaching, camping, trekking, and playing with them. I feel great hope in the future because of such great young people that have so much to offer our world. I live my faith by dedicating my life to my Heavenly Father and his great work! Living my faith helps me through difficult times and helps me to keep a perspective that is eternal. What a great life I enjoy because of the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have a firm foundation in Christ. His life has been an example for me to follow and I am always seeking for that example.
