Hi I'm Vanessa Recinos

I am from Rhode Island. I love to play volleyball and lacrosse and I love being a mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Rhode Island. I was attending college at BYU-I, but I am taking a break in order to serve a full time mission. I am serving in the California San Diego Mission at the Mormon Battalion Historic Site. I am the youngest of 4 girls. I love to be active. Hiking, playing volleyball, lacrosse. I also like to read. I love being with the family, they bring me the most joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints because this gospel has helped me understand my purpose here on earth. Being raised in the church has helped me understand who I am and what I want to become. I want to be someone who helps others find joy in this life. I want to share with others that we have a Heavenly Father and Savior who love us. I am a Mormon because I know that the Gospel of a Jesus Christ has been Restored and today we have the fullness of the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith but Serving others. When we help others we are happy. I try to live all the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am not perfect but everyday I try to be better.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Vanessa Recinos
I've had this question before. Simple answer is pray about it. Prayer is the communication that we have with Heavenly Father, he is the source of all truth. When we pray with a open heart and sincere intent we will know the truth through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit works in different ways. We can receive answer to our prayers through our thoughts, feelings, scriptures, and even through other people. Its an indescribable feeling and at the same time an indescribable feeling, but when you feel it you will know. Show more Show less
