Hi I'm Sydney

I am an older sister of 3. I am a pianist and statistician, debt-free college graduate. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am attending college studying Mathematics and Statistics. Through this discipline I have learned the value of hard work and persistence. A lot of time and energy is required to gain a full love and understanding of topics that interest me. I play the piano and took lessons for 10 years, the hymns bring peace to my soul as I listen to the words and focus on their true meaning with lyrical accompaniment. I actively participated in sports (softball & basketball) throughout my youth and continue that passion by pursing my dream goal of being a Sports Statistician. I enjoy watching any sort of game, especially on sight. Being in a gymnasium, engaging in a unified desire of success reminds me of the eternal Plan of Happiness that we truly can be happy and unified as Saints in Zion forever. I live with my family, in the town where my college resides, which allows me to constantly stay in contact with those friends I have gained my entire life. People give me purpose to live each and every day with a perfect faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ, that as children of God, we all have the potential to return and live with Him someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I know my Savior loves and knows me, Sydney. I have been sent here to accomplish a divine and unique mission to further the work of salvation. As I continually strive to live in accordance with the Lord's will for me, the happier I feel and blessings are bestowed. My purpose in this mortal existence is to be tested and exercise faith in Jesus Christ so that I can return to live with Him again and my family forever. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to this earth through the power of the Priesthood and our beloved prophet, Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God that shows us in every way how to live our life as our Savior would. I know that everybody is a child of God and He loves us all. I know that Jesus Christ suffered on the cross for my sins as well as the sins of the world that we may be made perfect through him and his Atonement. I know that as we exercise Faith, plead for forgiveness, adhere to our baptismal covenants and follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost we will be endowed with power from on high to bless our lives and the lives of others. I know that there are living prophets and apostles to lead, guide and direct us on the earth today. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a seer and revelator for the entire world and Kingdom of God. I know that the temple is the House of God and he constantly resides there and yearns for our attendance. I know these are the Latter-Days, we are in the seventh seal and it is my duty to HASTEN THE WORK. I know that families can be together forever through the sealing power of the divine Priesthood in Thy temple. My testimony is everything to me. It allows me to move forward in life with complete faith and confidence in the work of the Lord, no matter my circumstances. He lives. He loves me. His Spirit resides with me as I stand in holy places, pleasing unto Thee. I am a mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it. It is everything.

How I live my faith

Each week I meet with about 100 young adults of my own age that uplift and relate with me. It is my honor to communicate with every single person on a personal level as I convey the messages, activities and happenings that occur on a regular basis. Facebook allows for broad announcements and communication among many college students that need assistance or information, yet may not know where to look. This is where the assembly of connections through a ward family can assist and play large roles in individual lives.
