Hi I'm Blane Johnson

I'm a father to six daughters, I have a beautiful wife and all the good things that comes because of them. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have always loved the out-of-doors. Each season in the Rocky Mountains brings a renewal of the things I can do and see that make it so great. Nothing brings me more joy than to enjoy it with my family. My work experience has allowed me to support and be with my family in all the important activities of their lives. Now life has blessed me with grandchildren who bring a whole new dimension to the word "posterity." I love to see my children be parents. My wife and I are leaving to serve a mission for our church to help others find the happiness we have both enjoyed our whole lives. This is a volunteer opportunity that will give us a chance to meet new people and expand our circle of friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a mormon is important to me. Knowing the church is true is something that has come in many ways. What I learned when I was younger was that the feeling I got when I made a good choice, felt good inside and that feeling is the most important influence of a persons life. I learned when I got older that the feelings that come are from the spirit that is promised from our Heavenly Father when we choose the right. When I needed to know if the church was true, it was those same feelings that I followed. I learned to ask Him for answers and as He has promised all of us, He answered. I love the Book of Mormon which was translated in our day by a Prophet who was called by God. The book is a gift of scripture given to us to know the mission of Christ and a way for us to know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. By my study and reading the book, I know the spirit has born witness to me of the truth of the book. There is never a time when I read it, or the Bible, that I don't get that "feeling" that comes from the spirit, that lets me know it is a good thing. I have used these scriptures to be a guide in my life and feel so blessed to know what I know. This knowledge has shaped my life and brought me many blessings.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by giving back to others. If I say I believe in Christ, then what He asks us to do is to follow Him. I am far from being like Him, but I want to be. When I give my time and talents to helping others, I feel like I am doing what He would do. I love the youth and have spent much of the last 30 years helping them and teaching them to find their own conviction of Christ's mission and to avoid the pitfalls of life. It is very hard for our youth today. I have also tried to be the best Dad I can be. I love the quote that says, " No other success can compensate for failure in the home." No one can judge your faith any better than those you live with everyday.
