Hi I'm MacKenzie

I grew up with loving friends and family. Dance is my passion, I've been dancing since I was two. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been blessed with many talents, though sometimes I have a hard time recognizing them. I have been dancing since I was two; ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, I love them all! I also love instruments. I've learned many, but my favorites would be the French horn and piano. I have many things to work on, from school work to my family and friend relationships, but I tend to have a hard time on myself. I think the most important thing is to realize that you are trying, and you actually are improving! No one is like you. No one has all of your talents.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the feeling I get when I say a prayer or read my scriptures. It's a feeling of peace and separation from a busy day. For a while, I had been relying on my parents belief of this gospel. I knew what I was taught was supposed to be true, but I didn't know for myself. In July of 2012, I prayed to know that I knew this gospel was true. Later that month on a family trip, we built a zipline. I was to ride the zipline each time until we found the right height and speed we were going to leave it at. The last time I rode it, I flew off the end. The zipline was at about 10 to 15 feet high, and I flipped backward. In the air, things seemed to slow down. I said a silent prayer to God that everything would be alright. I landed hard on my tail-bone, unable to see at first, and then was fine. My family checked on me and I got up and walked over to a nearby rock to sit down. They found my glasses and drove me back up the hill on a quad to the place where our car was at. Everything was alright.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example. I share my beliefs when appropriate, but other than that, I just have a good time while keeping my standards. I enjoy sitting by new or lonely people and helping out. I go to church on Sunday and listen to discussions of spiritual experiences people have had concerning different teachings of Christ, and about how they live them. We discuss how we are doing in the gospel, and what ways we can live righteously, when temptations come. I like to go to church. I feel like the people there are my family, and we are always adding more to the group!
