Hi I'm John

I grew up in Southeast Arizona, I'm an engineer, married with 4 kids and counting, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew believing in, but never had a relationship with God. I was far from being perfect, and still have to work on me everyday, but my faith fills a hole in my life like nothing ever could. I never thought I would be Mormon ( LDS ) but now I can never imagine my life not being LDS.

Why I am a Mormon

When we first met with the missionaries it was through a friend and neighbor. I was not expecting to convert but was curious about these young men and women who devote two years of their life to serve. I figured they make such a sacrifice I can at least hear them out. I had lots of questions, missionaries love questions I found out, as they are so knowledgeable and eager to share what they believe. It seems strange to say, and almost scripted, but the answers I got were exactly what I needed to hear, it just made sense, my hesitations with religion in general were relieved, I knew this was the true church of Christ. I have gained a testimony of the truth of the gospel. I know that God lives, that his son Jesus Christ came to earth to pay the price for our transgressions, lived a perfect life, died, and rose again. He knows and loves each of us individually. I know this is the true and living church of Christ, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and that Jesus is at its head, and that we are led by men called of God, and we will not be led astray.

How I live my faith

I take my family to church every Sunday ready to learn and grow. There is a saying we hear, church is not a place of perfect people, it is a place were imperfect people go to get better. I help out with the youth program at church teaching the young men on Sundays, and helping with various scouting and other activities during the week.
