Hi I'm Jenessa

I grew up in Utah. I love music, being outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As I mentioned in my Intro, I love music. In high school I participated in the musicals, drama, and choir. I love singing with my family and spending time with them. I'm the youngest in my family but yet my siblings are my best friends. We have our arguments, differences, and disagreements, but when it comes down to it, they are my biggest support and blessing. I also like helping people and getting to know people. One day I hope to be an elementary teacher, or counselor of some sort. I love growing and learning new things and taking adventures. I'm excited to learn more, grow more, and become someone more. Life is a beautiful journey!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church by wonderful, faithful parents who were born and raised in the church as well. I'm so grateful for my parents decisions that blessed our family eternally, but I am also grateful that they taught me to find out for myself. They taught me the basic truths ever since I was young, but yet I still came to point in my life that I wanted to know for myself. This gospel makes me happy. It's as simple as that. I find this world to be very discouraging and depressing, but I find hope and peace in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I notice that when I am living the Gospel and following Christ, that I have happiness, no matter what the circumstances or trials may be. This Gospel is a beautiful thing because it offers repentance, truth, guidance, peace, security, and happiness, in a world that offers just about the opposite. I know that God lives. I know that Jesus Christ suffered not only for our major sins and our little mistakes, but also for every pain, tear, trial, heartache, and every plain old bad day that we have ever experienced. I know that God has a plan for each of us and loves us with a love we could never imagine. I know he wants us to be happy and is rooting for us to do our best and return to him. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today. I know that the words spoken in the Book of Mormon are true and that it can be a guide and beacon in our lives. I know this true, and I love it.

How I live my faith

I love attending church with my family and friends in my ward. I was able to serve young women of my same age for many years in various callings and serve as a council member on my high schools seminary council, but my most recent calling for this beautiful church is as a missionary and representative for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I will be serving in the beautiful state of Missouri and have never been so excited to share this beautiful Gospel.
