Hi I'm Ron

I am a retired professor, consultant and university executive about to serve a humanitarian mission. Yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have had a very rewarding career as a senior academic, research leader and university executive. I have been a consultant and advisor to many organisations and governments and had the privilege of living and working in many exciting countries and cultures. Most of my work has been in the development and management of complex organisations and systems. My family of seven children and 29 grandchildren (at last count) are my greatest love, and provide me with great joy and pride.

Why I am a Mormon

I still recall my baptism at age 10. I knew then that the things that I had been taught were true, and this knowledge has remained with me throughout my life. Though there have been many that have argued that I am deluded, or a fool, my personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and the Saviour is more real, more sure and more defining for me than any of the worldly 'knowledge and wisdom' that surrounds me. While I am critical by nature, I have found that the doctrines revealed in the scriptures, both ancient and those revealed in this day, have withstood my earnest and sincere questioning

How I live my faith

Although it has sometimes been a source of ridicule I have always been proud of my membership in the Church. I have tried to reflect the values and beliefs that I hold in my work and associations. I have willingly served in many capacities, both leadership and teaching roles, but have particularly enjoyed working with youth and young adults.
