Hi I'm Kristin

I love music. Laughing is by far my favorite hobby. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I just finished my first year of college at BYU-Idaho. I am planning on getting my degree in Interior Design. I hope to own my own business someday or be a home-stager. I am putting my life at home on hold to serve a full time mission in El Salvador for 18 months and I couldn't be more excited. I absolutely love music. I play the piano and sing and have also taught myself a little guitar as well. I also love to travel. I have had the amazing opportunity to explore England and Hungary. I love meeting different kinds of people and learning about different cultures. I enjoy hiking and running. I consider myself a happy, easy-going person who loves to laugh and have a good time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me joy. Literally, when I think of my knowledge of the gospel and membership in this church it puts a big smile on my face. Everything about this gospel is perfect and although WE are not perfect, we can become perfect in and only through our Savior Jesus Christ and the Atonement. It makes me happy to think that I have a Heavenly Father who knows and loves me. I know I can go to Him in prayer whenever and wherever I want and know with a surety that He will answer my prayers. I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and Redeemer. He suffered for all the pains and sins of this world individually for each person. My family means everything to me. Having the knowledge that families are eternal is a huge blessing in my life. We live in a scary world where a lot of bad things are happening, but my knowledge of the gospel brings me peace and comfort. I love my Savior and I love this gospel.

How I live my faith

As a youth in high school, I took seminary on a daily basis for all 4 years, where I got to learn from the scriptures and more about Christ and His gospel as part of my school day. I've had callings or responsibilities that teach me how to be a leader and how to serve and love others. I live my faith by attending all my church meetings such as Sunday meetings, participate in family home evening (a night set apart where the family can spend time together and learn from one another), ward activities, visit and share a message with other sisters in the ward, etc. I also live my faith by being a good friend and citizen of my community. I like volunteering and serving people.
