Hi I'm Lisl

I grew up in Germany, Czech Republic, Kenya, Ethiopia, Cuba, Austria, Thailand, and the US.

About Me

I am an opera singer in training, though I also love singing the blues and jazz. I am a Music major at my university. I spend my free time fishing, reading good books and literature, writing poems and songs, traveling, doing service, and sleeping. Sisi is a long held childhood nickname I gave myself at a very early age. I am extremely international, so it's hilarious that I'm currently serving a mission stateside. Also, I love animals and cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I grew up a memeber, and then when I began searching for my own reasons to be a mormon, I discovered that being a mormon just fits along with the personal views and standards I have always held for myself. I have believed it is important to question things, like the gospel, and then to go out and search with an open, sincere, and humbled desire for the truth. I did that very thing and had it confirmed through prayer and the whisperings of the Holy Ghost that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the most true church on the Earth today and the only one that was restored to this dispensation by a true prophet of God, and that the Prophet today is also called of God; as are the others which serve callings in every part of this Church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving my fellow men wherever in the world I may be. My family and I habitually feed the missionaries when ever they are in the area where we are currently living. My entire life has been oriented around helping others and recognizing that everyone is a beloved and precious son or daughter of our Heavenly Father. In my community at church I assist with class preparations and make sure to hold myself as a good role model for the young women. I have helped organize and conduct a myriad of church activities and served in a myriad of callings. But MOST of all I, myself, do it by serving as a Sister Missionary for the next 18 months. I'm sacrificing my own personal time, energy, life, and money to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This time will prepare me for my future as a member missionary, and a mom. The things I experience prepare me for those of my future family.
