Hi I'm Luke

I'm a happy husband and father to three great kids. I'm an entrepreneur. I ride. I play basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm happily married love being a dad to three great kids. My middle son Ethan is 5 and is beating cancer. I'm an entrepreneur involved in tech start ups. I love playing basketball and tennis and enjoy mountain biking and road riding as well as doing anything with my family. I've become addicted to family history in recent years and love learning about my ancestors. I live in sunny Sydney, Australia. Our family loves to travel - our next stop will be Disneyland once Ethan has recovered. Places I want to see in my lifetime are Easter Island, Peru and the Holy Land.

Why I am a Mormon

From a young age I had faith in God and his son Jesus Christ. I saw the power that comes from faith prayer and it grew within me. I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon many times and know they are both true scriptures about Jesus Christ. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (and am called a Mormon) because I believe it is Christ's church on earth today. By attending church weekly I can worship Him. By being a member of a church I worship with my friends and we strengthen each other in faith. The church also provides an opportunity to serve people, including many not of our faith. It's given me the opportunity to visit the sick, help those who need assistance moving house or cleaning up their garden. I have a volunteer assignment in the church to teach others family history. By volunteering and giving service to others it keeps my focus on what is really important in life.

How I live my faith

My faith is an everyday part of my life. I seek opportunities every day to help, serve and encourage others. I spend time each week teaching people how to research and find their ancestors. It's great fun seeing the excitement that people have when they discover things they never knew. Family history isn't just for old people - I teach teenagers and young people how to do family history too! We recently discovered that our 5 year old son Ethan has stage 5 cancer. Our faith in a loving God and Savior Jesus Christ has given us a remarkable feeling of peace since finding out. We know God loves us and that we are an eternal family. We have felt the power of prayer from hundreds of people of all faiths, all around the world.
