Hi I'm Damon

I'm from Utah and I love it! Nothing is better than being outdoors and active. I'm on a mission in Norway. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

In my family I have my parents and then there are three boys. I am in the middle of my two brothers. I'm a huge football fan and played it throughout high school. I also love to play basketball. I'm a big team person and enjoy using that to get to know people through activities. I'm planning on attending the local college. I hope to successfully walk on the football program when I get home. Since I can remember I have always gone camping. It's kind of the way we get all together as extended family. We go four wheeling and hiking. Basically any activity the location has to offer. Starting in October 2013 I will be serving my mission in Norway. I'm so excited for this opportunity to serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

Well first off I was born into the church, but over the past year I really decided that I wanted to know if the church was true. I knew the steps but never really applied them to my life. Then I realized that my mission was coming up quick and if I was going to go out and tell people that I knew this was true; I should be putting in the effort to find out for myself if all of this really was true. When I decided to finally find the truth I noticed all these weaknesses I had started to disappear. I felt a new strength and light inside me. Now that I am on my mission I understand that this is the true gospel. I may have missed my mark a few times in my life but I have always known and had a strong testimony that Jesus is the Christ and that he loves me. Through Him and His atonement all things are possible. I love this church and I am so grateful for all that Joseph Smith did through the power of God to restore Christ's church again on the earth. He's a true prophet and because of that this is the true church of Christ and always will be. I know God has a plan for each one of us and if we follow his direction, read his words in the holy scriptures, and pray for his guidance; we will get it.

How I live my faith

I've grown up in the church and have been apart of all my quorums. Right now I am a primary teacher in my ward. I am teaching the six and seven year-olds. Which is awesome because that is within a few years of when they can choose for themselves if they would like to get baptized. I feel it a great honor to be able to teach them and prepare them for there baptism. I know I was put in this calling for a reason and I feel like they teach me too every week. They are so smart. I love my calling! I love this gospel!
