Hi I'm Alicia

I'm a CPA. I love to travel. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from Brigham Young University and now work as a tax accountant in Seattle. My brain loves numbers and spreadsheets, but I love many other things too. I love days filled with tennis, boxing, hiking, trying new restaurants, going to the park, having a picnic, taking a nap, or reading a book. Whenever I have a chance, I love to travel! All things in my life are enriched by sharing them with my close friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is what brings me true peace, happiness and direction in my life. I know that the doctrine and teachings of this church are true. I know because I have felt the spirit testify to me that it is true. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who knows each of us personally. And just like our earthly father, he loves us, is rooting for us, wants the best for us and wants to communicate with us. I know that through prayer, we can communicate with him. He hears us when we pray and he answers our prayers. I know that our Heavenly Father sacrificed his son, Jesus Christ, that if we strive to live like him, we can be forgiven of our sins and one day return to live with both of them again. I know that we have a Prophet that leads our church today, President Thomas S. Monson, who like prophets in the bible, receives direction and revelation from our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The knowledge of these truths brings me peace in times of stress, trial and despair. And the knowledge of these truths also guides my choices and decisions in life to keep me on a path that leads me back to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I try to live it everyday. On the bus ride to work. At my job. At the gym. At the store. With my friends. In all things that I do, I try to be like Christ.
