Hi I'm Bree

I grew up in the hot Great Basin desert. I'm a college student. I dream. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of girls but my dad made sure we were not limited to just the world of Barbies and dress up. I got my first dirt bike when I was 8 years old and ever since I've loved anything with a motor. But pretty much anything outdoors and active (hiking, running, sports, wakeboarding, snowboarding, beach bumming) I'm all over it and I'm always up for trying new things. I study my brains out in college because I love to learn and I want my education to not only benefit myself but others too. My family is the most important thing to me, they've taught me to believe in my dreams. My mom is my hero. I love traveling and meeting new people the people along the way. I love how no matter how different cultures can be nor how far apart we live, we all live and we live for true happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the Church my entire life and I have felt the Spirit tell me that this Church is true countless times. But it wasn't until five years ago after my parents divorced, my grandfather passed away and my mom was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer that I realized that I can't live without this gospel of Jesus Christ. I felt like my whole world was falling apart, nothing had been going right for so long that I began to doubt if it ever would. But the one thing that remained true and constant was God. It was His love for me, that brought me peace and comfort through all the pain and uncertainty of that time. I knew that I would never be tried beyond that which I could overcome. In a weird way I saw these trials as a compliment to myself that God believed in me so much. It was through the healing power of the atonement, reading my scriptures, praying, the support of loving church members, and faith that I was able to endure. There will be some very difficult times in our lives but do not give up. God placed us on this earth to live and to be happy. The happy times will come! I am a Mormon because this gospel is TRUE and Christ LIVES!!

How I live my faith

I have been called as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am twenty one years old and I am putting my dreams, dating, education, and time with family and friends on hold for a year and a half to serve my God, whom I love. I know without a doubt that this gospel is the key to true happiness, and because I have been so fortunate to have had this knowledge my entire life, I feel the only way for me to show how grateful I am for Christ's atonement and the eternal blessings it has bestowed on me is to serve others. I love everyone I meet and I love them so much that I want them to feel the same happiness that I do, so I tell them what I know. Each and every single one us has a purpose in this life, a life that continues throughout all eternity. There is a God, a Heavenly Father, who knows each of us by name and He loves us more than we can comprehend. Through the sacrifice made by our Savior, the Son, we can return to live with God in heaven and with our families forever in paradise.
